Why did you decide to open a Venn Account?
The Program-Related Investment (PRI) concept intrigued me from a philanthropic point of view, and I certainly understand the potential impact of below-market investment capital.  However, my private equity (PE) investment experience has also taught me to look at people first and strategy second.  My confidence in the Venn Foundation specifically relates to Jeff Ochs and the people driven ecosystem he has created, from sourcing investment opportunities to fueling the growth of deserving fund recipients.  Also, I think Venn Foundation has created a compelling platform for rapid growth.

What is one Venn PRI you are proud to have supported?
I am particularly excited about Binary Bridge/Backpack EMR as a first PRI to support.  Their potential to impact health outcomes is extraordinary, and the technology application that enables it is highly disruptive.  In an easy and affordable way, low-resource countries and medical missions can now track their public health impact all the way down to the individual patient level. After supporting Venn’s PRI to Binary Bridge, I joined the company’s board of directors.
